I am Shivalinga Baddipalli. I am a curious researcher with a strong interest in improving resilience and performance of structures to natural and man-made hazards, driven with a vision of creating safe, resilient, cost-effective, and sustainable communities to achieve sustainable equity, prosperity, and resilience.

Currently, I am looking for a Ph.D. position in the broad domain of structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, and blast engineering. I am also interested in diversifying my research into new challenging areas of structural engineering, providing an opportunity to contribute to safe, resilient, cost-effective, and sustainable solutions.

I am interested in conducting fundamental scientific research and contributing to the growth of human knowledge. I possess high persistence and adaptability in working through challenges and setbacks. I believe that “Sweat in practice is better than blood on the battlefield.

2. Structral response and vulnerability to blasts and earthquakes
3. Performance based earthquake engineering
4. Seismic vibration control
5. Seismic loss estimation and expected annual loss (EAL=Insurance)
6. Analysis and design of RC structures
